Vehicle Name: The mk3.75
Stats: 1997 GTI 1.8T (A3 2 Door)
Exterior: The car was totaled 12/9/02. In the year that followed, I built this monster. On 6/17/06, I took one month to swap everything over to a whole other chassis with a clean title and no rust...and painted it four shades of blue.

European rad support, bumpers, fenders and hatch.
Two-bar FK badgeless grille.
Votex dual round headlights and euro turns/fogs (GTI ecodes on the off-season).
OEM ecode GTI tails (no side reflector) w/ bulb tray cover, euro spec wiring including rear fog lamp.
Enabled euro citylight function for signal stalk.
Added heated washer nozzles.
Hydraulic hood lifts.
2003 Passat amplified roof antenna.
2001 Cabrio (mk3.5) heated mirrors with mk4 power adjustment motors.
mk4 Polo keyless door handles.
Hand-built hybrid mk3/mk4 rear wiper motor and mk3/mk4 sunroof drive motor (yes, I actually bothered to dissect them and combine them).
AlienTech Window Controller for remote window rollup and rolldown from the switchblade key.
Interior: mk4 dash, 3-spoke steering wheel and center console/armrest.
Polo GTI shift knob w/ leather boot.
Instrument cluster from 2004.5 Jetta (soon to be replaced with 8L Audi S3 cluster).
mk4 GTI leather door panels. (soon to be replaced with 8L Audi S3 panels, with blue alcantara)
mk4 shift box modded to fit mk3 tunnel.

100% CARB-legal swap
29x9x2 custom front-mounted intercooler with aluminum plumbing (ok, maybe not quite 100% carb legal).
O2J transmission.
Custom driveshafts.
Audi TT short-throw shift counterweight.
APR-chipped ECU w/ four programs and all utilities.
OEM N75-J wastegate actuator valve.
Forge 004 dual-piston blowoff valve.
KCD stage 2 motor mounts in front.
SEM cold-air intake, routed down inside the bumper.
Magnaflow 2.25" exhaust, pipe chopped to fit the stock 1.8T downpipe and catalytic converter.

Plans for AWD and big turbo are always waiting in the wings. Time and money haven't been available for years.
Suspension, Wheel & Tire: Weitec TX coilovers with fully adjustable damping.
Upgraded to the mk3 VR6 Plus Suspension.
5-lug conversion with mk4 calipers front and rear.
Brembo slotted/drilled 12.3" Audi TT front rotors and stainless steel front lines.
Eurospec Sport slotted/drilled 11.0" mk4 rear brake upgrade with custom-made mk3 hubs and caliper brackets.
Installed mk4 ABS system with anti-slip regulation and electronic differential lock.
16" mk4 Wolfsburg RX-II's with Yokohama tires, 205/45-16
