I received my order, and had no problem installing the peanut M&M's immediately.

Have a good one,

Felix

Thank you Kristen. I rec'd my order the other day and installed it yesterday. And by the way thanks for the M&Ms too!!! I love the peanut M&Ms.

-Eric

Robert

My wife especially enjoyed the Snickers candies - her favorites! Nice touch.

Bob

All the stuff arrived in good order. Y'all are the best.

-kevin

I had to write back to let you know that although this is my first dealing with Virtual World, you are without a doubt the sweetest auto part company out there...for real. I found in my box o' VR6 strut bearings: one full size Reese peanut butter cup (a bit mashed), one Snickers minature, and a single sized Twix Caramel bar. Oh, and the german made FEBI bearing kit for my A2 was in there too (though far less tasty)! The H&R springs showed up the next day, so everything has arrived. Anyway, I just had to let you know about the extra items that were shipped from you... hell, a big office fight could've come up over the missing candy, and all along I had it!

Brian

Mike and Kristen,

I just wanted to write you guys to say thanks. You guys do great work, and it is reflected in all the people who recommend you. I received the box on Thursday, everything was there, and in great shape. I just installed everything last night, I've been enjoying the new suspensions all day, it's like a whole new car.

Thanks again

Jason, 1989 GTI

just wanted to say thanks, too. i've been having some bad luck with ecommerce lately, nice to see some people still know how to satisfy customers.

josh

Thank You Kristen:

I recevied them today and put them on and they look great!!! I'll tell all my Internet geeks at VW Vortex, you guys are awesome!

Thanks,

Robert

I received my switch today. Thanks and a special thanks for the M&Ms, what a nice surprise.

Rick

just want to thank you for handling my order and a very special thanks for the candies :). It's my second purchase from you, and I must tell I am really impressed with your service! I wish more online businesses were like yours -- good old fashioned customer service with a personal touch!

Thanks again,

Igor, Atlanta, GA

I just received my order. You made my day with the Halloween treats. Great idea. You've won my business for years to come.

Thanks a lot,

Ryan

Mike and Krisiten,

I just wanted to drop you guys a line to let you know thank you for a job well done. Every vendor who sells oil filters should include the little copper drain plug gasket, you guys are the only ones I know who do. I also really appreciate you including the orange bulbs with the smoked side markers. Thanks as well for getting my order out on such short notice late on a friday evening, and you still managed to throw some candy in the box!! Too cool! I wish there were more businesses who were as organized, professional and enthusiastic as you are. Great prices too!!

Sincerely,

Cory

I was very impressed with the timliness of the turn around, the instruction sheet, the packing job, and especially the Rice Krispie treat (not what I needed the day after Thanksgiving but I ate it anyway). Your customer service was excellent in my opinion and I hope we have an opportunity to do business again in the future.

Sincerely,

Steve

Thanks for the update!! Excellent service, and the follow-up email was unexpected, yet very professional. More than I expected. All the great comments that I've heard are well deserved, and will recommend your services to anyone that has not yet heard of you.

Once again, thank you...

Talat

Mike & Kristen, Thanks for the great service! The package arrived on time. Also, thanks for including the UPS tracking number, it is pretty cool to watch the progress of your package as it goes across the country. Also, thanks for the candy :) I look forward to doing business with you in the future!

Adrian

Kristen,

Thanks for your usual great service. It's really good to know that there ARE some class acts out there.

Do you and Mike have stickers made up? If so, I'd like to add you to the underhood-hall-of-fame.

Have a great weekend,

David

Thanks for your prompt reply regarding my VW Jetta gauge panel. The panel arrived on Thursday; the M&M's were a nice touch. I sincerely appreciate the professionalism and courtesy with which you handled all aspects of this transaction.

Best wishes for continued success.

Dave

Hello, just wanted to let you know that I received the switch and it was the most easiest install I have ever done in my life, you guys make it joyfull to work on cars, thanks a bunch and I am not going anywhere else anymore, I am your customer for life.

Awesome! That's good news! :-) thanks,

Vinni

Kristen- thanks for the info! It's the little details like this, as well as the word-of-mouth recommendations from many friends, as well as past experience that will keep me coming back continually! Looking forward to the front brake upgrade kit this summer for my '98 TDI Jetta that is, unfortunately, all engine and no brakes!

Operations like yours are all too uncommon.

Thanks again,

Brent

Once again, I want to thank you for your excellent service. I look forward to dealing with you again in the future. Good luck in the OneLap!

Cheers,

Conrad

I received my order today (05/24/00). I appreciate the first class service. Thank you very much for the M&M chocolate. My 3 year old enjoyed it very much. Once again thank you very much.

Francis

Thanks. As soon as its installed, I'll send some pics. Seems like my car is built alot of Virtual World Parts!

Jimbo

thanks for the prompt service and the handy e-mail notification of shipment and UPS tracking numbers. this is a lot more than most companies will provide. i'm sure I will use your services again in the future and will also recommend you to anyone that is in the market for vw parts. thanks again,

johannus

virtual world,

I recieved my order yesterday. out of the half dozen orders I sent out your company by far has had the best packaging. I was extremely pleased to see it in an organized manner. It just goes to show how organized your company must be. I hope to do business again, thank you virtual world.

sincerely,

will reed

ps...I'll send you guys a pic of my car when I get it done

I recieved the order. Thank you. You have such great service and Ilove the 'goodies'.

David

Thanks Kristen-- I already wrote Mike to let him know how much I appreciated the quick response, (and the Hershey bar packaging). The way you folks do business, no wonder you have so many internet fans...

Add Me to that list!

Thanks Again,

Dan

Kristen,

Thanks so much for your help. It is great to do business with great people.

Thanks again,

Carlos Relova

Thanks Kristen for all of your help. I will recommend you to everyone I know. You guys (and gal) do a great business!! Just got the TT pedals today. They look great!!! I will definitely buy everything I need from now on from you. You can't beat the prices and most importantly the service. I will be looking into H&R springs soon and a whole bunch of other goodies and maintainence stuff so keep an eye or and ear out for me.

Thanks again,

Glen

Thanks for the reply and I'd also like to give my regards to Virtual World parts. I have received nothing but excellent service and support each and everytime I have ordered with you fine folks. To be honest, I don't usually notice great service, which only compliments your company more. Thanks again, and please keep up the superb work! :-)

Chris

Once again- you guys have made owning this car a lot less painful. I stood in my garage for 15 minutes popping the new door handle, amazed that the door works again.

I just wanted to thank you for helping me out with the NEUSPEED swaybar part for my 1.8T NB a couple days ago. It was nice talkingwith you (if you remember me). Normally the people that I talk to that take my orders are not half as nice and informative as you are. I commend you for that! If you'd like, I would love to keep in touch, I may be ordering more parts from you soon. Take care! Oh and your website is great! Everyone is pleased with your services, guess I wasn't dreaming! Keep up the excellent work!

Aloha!

Kimo

Virtual World,

I am e-mailing to say thank you, I received my order of smoke tailights for my 94 Jetta yesterday. I couldnt help but to smile when I opened the box and also found a pack of m&m's in there. It was like you read my mind, I was craving choclate and I opened the box and there was my parts and some good yummy M&M's that added touch makes so much of a difference. I am so glad I purchased from you guys and no one else. I plan to buy all my V-dub parts from Virtual World from now on.

Kerrie

Thanks! I just got it. And are these M&Ms for ME?? How nice! So does every purchase come with M&Ms or did you just leave them in there by accident? Thanks again.

I came home from work and was pleasantly surprised with a big box of goodies! Thanks a bunch you guys are great.I needed the M&Ms too!

micky

Thank you--The only reason I placed my trust in Virtual is your (Kristen) professional yet courteous way of handling my order.

I just received my order Monday afternoon and everything made it o.k. I just got done installing the dual rounds and the Turn 2 motor mounts and let me tell ya, these mods rock! I still have to paint the Kamei grill so that will have to wait. But anyways, I just wanted to thank you for your wonderful and prompt service and I can assure you that I will be doing business with your company again.

Sincerely,

Reyne

p.s. thanks for the tasty treats : )

Thank you very much Kristen. I'll be doing more business with you guys in the future no doubt.

Brad :)

And such quick, personal, hand typed service !! I'm diggin it !

Brad

Mike and Kristen--

Thanks for sending out another set of the bridge and jumper. I received them today and just put them in. The Potter customer service is awesome.

Troy

has anyone ever done any business with virtual world? i'm about to order some stuff from them, and need to know if they are reliable.

>Very reliable and knowledgeable....

>Two thumbs up here!

>I'd also like to chime in. Potterman Is a very honorable guy. I've NEVER been disappointed with the parts, service, and especially the prices. In fact I just ordered something from Mike & Kristen today. I will not purchase watercooled VW parts from anyone else ever. john

>Yes, Great service, good prices, good people, and reliable!!!! -Terry

>I never had a problem with them. "Jose"

>You have done the Right Thing! Checking with the Newsgroup is something folks don't do often enough. As for the PotterMan- I know him, have spent my own good money with him, and will again.

Order away.

>Mike Potter's middle name is Reliable. I was very pleased with the service I received when I ordered from them. Most people from the Scirocco Mailing List have bought from VWP at one time or another. Buy buy buy!!! Greg :)

>Yep, they are probably the most reliable of them all.

>Yes, I had an excellent experience. I even asked them for a very odd part in the "comments" section of the order and I got an email later that day saying they found it and asked if they wanted it added to the order. Marshall

>They have a BIG gold star next to their name in my book! -vwgirl =)

>Yes, I've bought a bunch of stuff from Mike, and he really helped me out with a problem I had recently. He's the man! Mike was a parts man at a VW dealer for years and probably knows as much or more about VW parts than anyone in the country. Bill

>Mike is probably the best parts guy out there. --Kev

Hey, just wanted to say thanks for helping me out. I would have gone nuts trying to do this through dealer. I owe you guys. Get me some cards so I can hand them to worthy customers. Have a good one Potters and Thanks a million,

Sean

Mike,

I am very happy with the lamps and they are well worth the wait. I am glad that I bought the lamps from you, the customer service is by far the best compared to others that are out there. It is a real crap shoot every time you place a "first" order with a company, but everyone on the 'net and the Vortex has nothing but great things to say about you and your company and I really see why. Thanks again for all of yourhelp in this matter, I truly appreciate it.

Sincerely,

Greg

Sure thing Mike, and thanks for the Mintexs for the GTI. They came yesterday. Actually, it was funny, I had a friend over and went to open the box and Sue was like "Oh no, MORE car parts?!"... so I opened the box and found the jellybeans you or Kristen put in, and threw her a pack and said "Mike sent these for you" and she was psyched. THEN she was like "yeah, Mike is so cool...." and started telling my friend how you sent her the toy Beetle while she was waiting for hers... great move, dude, thanks!!

Regards,

Tom

I Got my G4 headlight for A3 kut today. Potterman is the bomb. It took me less than a hour to put in including the cutting. Not a single problem. The kit was not only complete, but also included some candy for the sweet tooth. he is the bomb. All of the wires matched up and the brackets lined up perfectly. Instructions were very simple to read. Thanks Potterman!!!

Mike,

Just let be me amongst the millionth to tell you that you are the bomb!!!!!!!!! Your kit took me a total of 46 minutes to install and I had absolutely no problems at all. Thank you very much for all of your support. I will now be a faithful parts4vws customer. Tony

Hey Mike,

Just wanted to let you know that I did get the H&R springs the day after I called you. I had a feeling that they might be comming straight from the factory. I appreciate the prompt call back to let me know what is going on. I also wanted to tell you that your service and prices were outstanding and I will be giving your name out to anyone I know that could use your service.

Thanks Again,

Kent

Okay, cool. Obviously, the fact that you're swamped is an indication that you do an awesome job. Thanks for the total!

Mike

Potterstud,

Thanks again for the great customer service, you guys will always have my business for VW stuff!

Manny

There is nothing cooler than opening your well-priced parts and getting some Reese's peanut butter cups as packing filler.

I love Christmas :)

Mark

Mike Potter is the dude who runs this company. AKA Potterman, Potter, Dude, Shaggadelic Dude, etc. He sells good shtuff. Check him out...

Fiorentino

And if you order today, they may even throw in a tasty Reese's PB cup like they did for me. Sweet VW parts and free candy, really make the Potters the place to shop.

I totally forgot about that until you just mentioned it! My Daughter Catherine (3 y.o.) always likes to help me open any packages I get. Well, last month she helped me open a potter-package, and boy was she psyched! Reese's peanut butter cup! Don't let Mommy see!, as she ran off to eat it before dinner. heh-heh.

This is family hour, in case you were wondering.

GTI content: whenever we go somewhere on the weekends, my daughter always wants to take "daddy's car". Future VW owner? WHo knows......

Wally

ok, I thought I was the only one and was feeling all special when I saw the Kit Kats in the package with my K&N!

yummy,

pete

****Ha! not only did I get a Reeses on my last order, I also got a little Hercheys bar too. Whoo Hoo!

Nathan

Holy mackerel, I'll have to check my box. It's still in the garage. I stopped digging after I found all my top-quality German made parts that I got for a low price.

Dan

Good morning (or whatever it is when you read this),

Thanks so much for sending my order (except for the Hella smoked high beam lens, which I know I have not yet been charged for...just confirming).

I sort of expected to receive a piece of candy or two, but I was very pleasantly surprised to see the two New Beetle car thingies. Of course, my two boys were more psyched. Those cars were out of their packages before I finished unpacking the oil filters. 8) Thank you very much for thinking of the boys. I've said it before, and it is even more obvious now; Virtual World is a quality shop where customer satisfaction is second to none. Thank you!

Sincerely,

Mike

Hi Mike,

I received those brass thread adapters in the mail today- Opening up a box partially packaged with Hershey miniature chocolate bars really helped set the tone-- felt like Christmas Day! Nice touch... Very high worksmanship-- thank you once again for solving a problem that I'd almost completely given up on...

I also enjoyed the phone conversation. As busy as you were, the first work day after returning from the One Lap, I appreciated your taking the time to "talk VW"...

Take Care,

Dan

Well after a bit of saving and trying to figure out if I wanted to sell my car or not I orderd my MK4 for MK3's lights. I just wanted to give big ups to the Potterman for helping me out and still giving the best service in the business. Now I just gotta get my suspensions and wheels back on, as my blown stock suspension and 14's just arent cutting it.

myk

To Virtual World Parts,

Thanks for your quick response, great prices and having such an easy site to shop from.

Alex

Good deal . . . and thanks again.

You'll be sure to get more business from me in the future! Like everyone says --and I definitely agree -- your customer service is tops!

Jason

Mike and Kristen-

I just read the CC page on the site and had to give my two cents as well. I truly hope that you guys have infinite success in your business. I have never had a better experience ordering parts for my car than all the times I've ordered from you. On top of that, your e-mail responses to the endless nagging questions I've sent have always been first rate and friendly, which pretty much describes the overall experience in dealing with guys. I will always be a Virtual customer!!!

Thank you-

Ian

Potter,

I just wanted to say thank you for owning such a cool ass company and always having the best price for stuff for my VW. So, Thank you. Also, could you shoot me an email when you get those parts out the door to me? I just want to know when to set up the appointment for the shop.

Thanks,

Corky

Mike/Kristen,

I wanted to drop you a note thanking you for taking care of getting the lights to my body shop in time. I picked up the car yesterday, and the shop did a good job getting them installed. I have to aim them just a bit as they are a bit high right now, but otherwise everything is just right. The person I dealt with there took time to tell me that he was very impressed with your operation commenting on how easy you folks were to deal with and that the lights showed up exactly when you said they would. He said that he has added you folks to his Rolodex. Hopefully you can get some more business out of him.

Coincidentally, the shop is located right next to my VW dealer and even shares the same parking lot a bit. I think it was almost easier for him to get parts from you as it was to get them from right next door.

Brian

Woo hooo! A big old box from Virtual World Parts arrived last Tuesday; inside were four beautiful pieces of German craftsmanship--the H&R Coilovers--plus new strut bearings, spanner wrenches, and H&R spacers. The whole setup was $1,244, including shipping, from Mike and Kristen Potter (www.parts4vws.com).

The Coilovers are SOLID. Glossy red springs, brass-colored shocks and hardware. Definitely high on the Tim Allen grunt scale. I put all of my weight on one of the rears and I compressed it maybe an inch or two. I did the same with the front and it wouldn't budge at all. These are some serious springs!

I will take some close-up pictures of the Coilovers and post them to the files area as soon as I can.

Hey gang,

I just finished installing my Euro Vento lights purchased from www.parts4vw.com (the Potters).... all in all it was an easy install.... the only real stumbling block was getting the bottom mount to "get over" the bottom tab. (nothing a thin screw driver used to guide the mount over didn't hurt after being challenged by it!) the instructions were good and clear... just be VERY careful when "notching" the radiator support!!

I have adjusted and aimed the lights and I also wired up the city lights as well (very nice touch!) What can I say about the upgrade?? WHY DID I WAIT?? I am SO glad I purchased and installed the lights..the light is nice and even and the lights actually put light (VERY USABLE I may add) on the road where you actually need it!

In the box shipped to me I even got some candy to boot! Sweet!! (sorry couldn't resist!)

I wanted to thank the Potters and share my experience of installation...total time of install.... well I would say it took me +/- 2 hours ... I could do it quicker after having an install under my belt! If you have been thinking of doing the upgrade ... DO IT!! You won't be sorry... those stock lights are a TOTAL joke..!

Later,

Chris

After reading the posts on this, I had to throw in my 2 cents. Potterman will get anything and everything you could ever need for your VW. I had a leaky 16V distributor and sold me a new seal for $10 instead of a new distributor. Quick email responses, and he and his wife are very pleasant on the phone. An honest, quality organization all the way around.

> I must second or third that last post on this topic. Mike Potter will get ANY VW (or Audi, I believe.) product that you may desire. I've NEVER had him tell me no on any purchase, and his prices are literally half of dealer cost.

johnL.

Hey Mike, this is Wilson. I just wanted you to know that I had so much fun when I took my car up to Willow Springs this weekend! We got to run on the streets of Willow and I had a blast! I couldn't believe how fun it was! The car just ran flawless. The H&R coil overs was just great! I didn't have the rear sway bar on either (although Neuspeed did send me new brackets). The new fuel pressure regulator eliminated the pinging and I added the 100 octain gas when I got up there. The car just was plain out fast! I loved it. Anyhow, just wanted to let you know and to thank you for all your help. My car wouldn't be at this stage without all your help and good advise! Next: some race tires on my stock rims! --

Wilson

Thanks for the offer. No need for a new rad- the 'dented' one is working just fine...

I told the guys in the VW shop about the $75 radiator. They said VW lowered the prices of their parts, but the rad is $130... down from $250!

I've been spreading the word about you guys. Even the VW shop guys wanted your address.

Woohoo! Thanks again!

You can bet I'll let you know when my VW is in need again.

Mike

Thanks Mike,

As usual, it has been a pleasure! Looking forward to the transformed ride!

Brian

Just writing to confirm the arrival of my order. The candy inside was quite a pleasant surprise, which definitely brightened a pretty bad VW day (apparently my GTI doesn't like to run w/o gas :)). Thanks again.. I look forward to ordering more from you in the near future.

-Ryan

Kristen Potter,

Thank you so much for your time and understanding concerning adding to the order. I appreciate you sending me a tracking number as well as a confirmation of it being shipped. I understand now why Virtual World is so highly reccomended!! You will most definitely have my future business.

Thank you,

Morio

Thanks for the VW part for the control arm sleeve. Normally I wouldn't call you the get the part number if I wasn't going to buy it from you but I called two VW places and the parts guys had no idea what I was taking about. And I want to do replace the control arm this weekend.

Thanks for all the VW help

Joe

Howdy all. I'm looking for resources on VW parts. I've got a '95 with about 75,000 and need to do some regular maintenance (belt, brakes, oil,etc..). Any information on who and who not to buy from? I'm looking for both price and service (i.e. I'm willing to pay a little extra if I can expect good service). I don't want to publicly bash anyone, but I've already been screwed ordering parts over the web. BTW, I'm located on the east coast if that makes any difference.

Thanks

As we say to everyone asking these questions. We have 2 words for ya, "Call Potterman". 714-663-2434. Or go to there web site at www.parts4vws.com I order things from their web site and have never got screwed. Good prices and excellent service. Never had a problem with ordering through them. They give you a tracking number to track your order through UPS. And it arrives when it says it is supposed to. Ask anyone and they will tell you the same.

Chadwick

Hey all,

Just want to second that opinion. I live in Canada, which brings with it a bunch of PITA issues with shipping and duties and crap like that, and the Potters did everything they could to help me out. Shipping, even to me in Canada, was quick and efficient, and the help that they gave me over the phone with the install of my A4 look-a-lights was above and beyond the call of duty.

Great folks!

Mike '99 A3 Golf

Hey all, I just want to remind everyone how awesome Mike and Kristen Potter of Virtual World (www.parts4vws) are. Please, if you haven't dealt with them yet you owe it to your car to do so. These people make life so much more fun. Thanks!

Anthony

I second that. They are everything a mail order business should be: inexpensive, friendly, knowledgeable, and fast. If you need anything for your 'dub, OEM or not, make sure you call them first.

-Nick

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, the last month has been the most hectic month of my life... I havent' even touched the motor yet :P anyway, I just wanted to write you and thank you for all the work you put into my order.

I've been very happy with every order i've placed with you, no wonder you're tops :)

heres looking forward to my next order.

Yours Truly,

Owen

Mike,

As usual, quick delivery of an awesome set of lights from an awesome couple! Thanks a million to you & Kristen ;-)

Voltaire

Mike & Kristen Potter,

I really am quite happy with the service that you have given me. Without mentioning any names, my current VW supplier is not such a pleasure and prompt to deal with when ordering items. I am starting to find that they are only good if they have what you need in stock. That Euro switch is about $100 and a 3 week wait through them! Although I will remain loyal to them for stocked items I am positive that you will be getting much more business from me in the future. Again, thank you for the wonderful buying experience and keep up the excellent work!

Joe

Kristen,

Thanks for the info! The boys at VWVortex were right, you are the best!! Keep up the good work.

I have to say, Mike Potter is THE man. I ordered my single round grill from him (got a helluva deal), but when it came 3 clips were broken off... Bummer! So I got it on, and it looked good.. I emailed him just to let him know that UPS doesnt "handle with care", and he said he was sorry and that he wanted to make it up to me somehow. Well today a box comes in the mail with a TShirt, and a bunch of stickers. Sure this doesn't make my grill all better (which im not really worried about since I got it on), BUT it was AWEFULLY nice of him to do this. Mike and Kristen run a top notch company and will bend over backwards to make things right. They will definately get my business the next time!--

Nick

Question:

How reliable and quick is this Mike Potter and his virtual world of parts? Is he prompt in emailing you back and letting you know the availability of parts? Let me know your on-line buying experiences.

Answers:

I had an interesting experience with Mike and Kristen. I had ordered a 1.8t badge from them and they happened to be back-ordered, so it ended up being a month or so between the time that I ordered it and when they shipped it. One day I recieved an email from them notifying me that my badge had shipped. They included a UPS tracking number and an estimated delivery date. I'm a little embarassed to admit how much I was looking forward to receiving and installing the badge but, what the hey, if I can't admit it here....? Anyway, I had had a particularly gruelling week at work and when friday came around I found myself fantasizing about getting the badge that day and being "badged" for the weekend. Sure enough, I got a little box from UPS at my office that day. Whoopee! I opened it up and found styrofoam peanuts, a packing slip, and NO BADGE! Again, it's embarrassing to admit how disappointed I was. I called Mike and mentioned that there was one item missing from my shipment. He apologized and said he'd take care of it. The following week I received another little box from UPS. This time, it had the 1.8t badge, but instead of the styrofoam, the badge was wrapped in a Virtual World "Racers Wanted" t-shirt. Nice shirt. So, I'd have to say that my experience with the Potter's has been positive. Anyone can make a mistake, but they took it upon themselves to compensate me in some way for the error. I appreciate that.

HTH,Regards, Kenny

I have bought a long list of items from Mike and Kristen for my GLX, including several special order items. In every way, they are great to deal with. Living all the way across the country from them, I was tenative about not buying from a local shop. But when I had a problem with a programable wiper chip, they sent out a new one out the same day. When I wanted a rare convex drivers side view mirror, Mike was able to get one for me. When I have questions or ideas about one thing or another, Mike always finds the time to talk to me about my concerns. When I bought my Vento headlights, packaged along inside the box I found a toy Harlequin Beetle. And with my last shipment, I got a Virtual World hat. Do freebees or gimicks really make a difference in the grand scheme of things? Not really, but admittedly they are nice to receive anyway. It's actually what they say about the way the Potters do business that's important. To me,the Potters represent a growing trend in on-line businesses. Small businesses serving a specialty market with widespread internet exposure. They are able to focus their resources on what they do best. They go out of their way to give the best service and prices that they can. They really care about what they do, and it shows. I encourage everyone to patronize businesses like Virtual World. We want to see more and more sucessful small businesses thriving on the internet. It helps us and it helps them. In a world filled with Microsofts, AT&Ts and AOLs giving us only what THEY think we should have, I hope that the microbusinesses is King in the next millenia. Standing down off my soapbox I Highly recommend Virtual World Parts.

Ian

Well, Ian summed that up perfectly. Nothing much more to say. Honest, prompt and will go out of their way to get you what you need. Thanks Potterman!!

redvr6

I too was impressed with their service. I was suprised to find and e-mail with the UPS tracking # and the date it was shipped. I ordered a new chrome rear "VW" emblem from them a while back. Well, they shipped me a Golf one instead of the Jetta one. I called up and explained my situation and they sent me a new one without having me send the new one in first.(I did send it in BTW) I was delighted to hear that they acctually trusted me as a customer! I highly recomend them, great people. GLenn — 1994 Jetta GL 2.0L

Good morning Potterpeeps,

A good friend and I installed the Hellas Friday night. They look great, although I would advise against doing the install with only the light from a small maglite, then a drop light (when we smartened up a little). The install took about an hour, but that was due more to the poor lighting and a couple of almost dead drill batteries (and some pretty dull bits, etc.) Thanks so much for allowing us all to partake in a group purchase thru Virtual World.

The installation instructions were great; clear and consise. You'll see my business again, hopefully soon. I've got my eye on a few blacked out VW emblems, and maybe a different grill to replace my stock grill that has a dent from a confrontation w/ a bird at 80 mph. 8)

Regards,

Mike

Mike,

First of all I want to thank you for all the time you've spent answering my questions and your patience even when you've been really busy. It's so rare to find someone who takes pride in what they do. You've gone well beyond what was needed to make a sale and all I've seen and heard on the internet about doing business with you is true. I cant labor enough on the point of how you've made a simple purchase all that much more personal and worthwhile. I've had too many experiences with people who would do anything to make a sale and who wouldnt care less once it's been made. Very rarely have I found someone whom I felt I could trust, so few in fact I would be able to count them all on one hand. It's such a breath of fresh air to find someone who wants to do the right thing from the start even if it means they dont make the sale. For these reasons I would have no hesitation in coming back to do business with you and to recommend your business to others.

Till now I have not been able to find anyone close to home who has been as helpful or as honest. Thankyou...

Regards,

Ben (Australia)

Thank you for keeping me updated- your customer service has been exceptional!!!! Expect my business again as well as others I refer to you.

Andrew

Several times I have found stuff cheaper from you guys than anyone else in the business, and I love the inventory of stock european parts & Hella products you offer for the A3's. Please keep up the good work, (i know it can be tough sometimes) but the impression that I get from everyone at Virtual World seems always to be quality, service and friendliness!

Sincerely,

Greg

I would just like to take a minute of your time to thank you for your service, help, and guidance. All the parts shipped were intact and were in mint condition, then after calling you, your help was greatly appreciative.

Thank you, the best of luck and hope to do more business with you in the future.

Aaron

I have recently purchased some stuff from you through a friend who is helping me out with the install also. I just wanted to thank you for the awesome prices and great service.... although we haven't dealt directly, I can tell you run a great shop. I have heard many good things about your place and when people feel they are treated fair they definetely spread the word. That I will do also!

Nate

Kristen,

It was a pleasure talking to you on the phone the other day! I will be recommending you to all of my friends (or other VW owners). It was nice to hear you speaking openly about your business, which makes it feel like you have nothing to hide! Keep up the fantastic job! Keeping my Jetta going will be that much more realistic with people like yourself to help me!

-Dan

I agree..i just got my setup from the Potters and I love them..the lights and housings fit right in and it looks factory. You get what you pay for and in this case that is quality install and quality service

thank you very much... I appreciate all your help..everyone on the gti-vr6 list was correct about you guys..definately top notch

Thanks

Kristen,

Thank you and your co-workers especially I guess his name is Mike or whoever it was that kept taking my call for all the help I hope to continue doing business with your outstanding company.

Gerald

Thanks for your concerned all your communication with me during this long process. You guys didn't have to be so helpful nor did you have to be so concerned with my order and all its problems. Thanks again, and you can certainly expect my business in the future!

> Who is Potterman and where can I find his products???? seems like they have decent products. Guy

Potterman is a shagadelic dude, baby. His real name is Mike Potter and he goes by Potterman.

You can contact him bu checking out his webpage www.parts4vws.com

Fiorentino

> Go to http://www.onelapofamerica.com or http://menox.com/onelap/ for details on when they will be in Atlanta, I think it's Friday for that track. Go find Potterman and Enrique, they are super cool dudes.<

Good time for a plug - for those of you on the lists who have never done biz with the Potters, you are doing yourselves a disservice. He should be your first choice when ordering ANYTHING for your car - OEM or aftermarket. He knows his shit, provides a level of personalized service that is second to none, won't blow smoke up your ass, won't ship your order 30 days late, yada yada yada. And he and Kristen are VERY nice people on top of all that. It's a no-brainer kids... It's the surest thing since leaky Spax suspensions and slippery

Nittos... :0

Kevin

Thank you for the update on my order. Service like yours is far and few between, keep up the good work.

Sean aka VR6 CABBY

Kristen,

Thanks for the tracking #! I heard good things about your company, and they are right! =) It is obvious you run a tight ship! It is hard to find good service like this & I'll be passing on the word.

Thanks again!

Devin

I can't thank these guys enough! I called Potterman on Tuesday to order SII euro bumpers. Going far beyond the call of duty, Potterman asked Nick from Rapid Parts, who happens to live 3 miles away from me, to bring home with him SII euro bumpers so I could pick them up. One(1) day after placing my order with Potterman, I had my bumpers. I can't get over how cool it was for Potterman & Nick to do this for me, especially Potterman for setting it up! The commradery and acts of kindness that makes us Dubsters a truly unique group of people just makes me love VW's even more... Thanks again Mike!

Brian

Stickers arrived this morning. They're great. I can't thank you enough for the trouble 'and expense' of sending them overseas.

Thanks again

You guys are absolutely the GREATEST!!!! I will make a point of recommending you to everyone I know. Thanks again!!

Jeff

Kristen,

Thank you!

I have heard nothing but good comments about you guys, now I know why.

Great service!

Eyder

I am counting down the days to my next Visa billing period...

On my March upgrade list I have Hella dual rounds among other things. It appears that the consensus on the list is "Potterman" is the best source for these. Something about a Potterman Install Kit that makes life easier. Who is this guy? Does he take Visa? How do I get ahold of him?

>Mike Potter is one swell dude. You can contact him through http://parts4vws.com. And, he does take VISA<

Hi Mike,

Well I recieved the fog lights for my A3 Jetta. It took about 15 minutes To install them and they work great. I'm writing to compliment you on the way your instructions are written. Everything is exacltly where you say it is and I don't think it could be any easier. Everything that I have bought from you is in the car (in no time) and works just like you say it will. I know a bit about cars and wiring and so on, but your direction and assistance makes it just that much easier. Thanks for supplying great stuff at great prices. Rest assured that anyone I meet looking for accessories for their VW's will be directed your way.

It's been a pleasure. Regard and best wishes for continued success!

Rob

I wanted to say thanks to both of you for the service you give. This Is the first time I've ordered from you guys but it certainly won't be the last. The GTI is aways in need of repair or upgrades so I'm sure more will come. Thanks again and I'll give you a call the next time I'm need of some good service. :-)

Hi Kristen,

I just wanted to drop you and Mike(I think)a line to say that your Hella DE kit was awesome and easy as could be to install. I am glad your a good company out there supplying great kits at a resonable price.

I had the kit installed in about an hour in my 98 Jetta TDI.

Best Regards,

Joe

Hundreds of Veedubbers couldn't be wrong. The recommendation from the GTI-VR6 mailing list shines. Your prompt and courteous service is simply amazing! Thanks!

Kristen and Mike,

I am impressed, you guys are so good!!!

Keep the good work

Inaki

Hey guys, I want to thank you for the speed and ease of ordering online. I got my parts the day you said I would, and everything was intact. It is a Pleasure to do business with a company like yours. I buy a great deal of Aftermarket parts from many different suppliers, and with everyone I have had a problem. You were the first problem free company I have run into. I will be placing another order in the near futre from you, and look forward to doing business with you.

Thanks Again,

Daniel

Hi Mike!

Just wanted to say a quick thanks for the fast shipping and the info on setting the timing. Sounds like it's gonna be fun!

Drive safe!

Greg :)

Hi Mike,

Just wanted to say thanks for the great service. I finally finished the glove box mod, everything fit like it came from the factory, real easy install. No extra holes were made, it was a simple bolt-in. The factory changer fit great with room to spare for misc. items. Now, I need to decide which MOMO to go with. I like to get something similar to the style of the Champion, but with a black center. Let me know if one exists like this. Anyway, once again thanks for all the help and advice.

Take care,

Gary

Thanks for the quote! My father has a co-worker that inquired about VW parts for his Golf, I spoke very highly of you and your wife's business and of how helpful and friendly you guys are and will be sending him your way as a source for VW parts.

Take care and pls. say "hello!" to Kristen for me!

-audrey

Hey We got the spoiler/parts yesterday took me 30 minutes to put it on... looks great... My wife & I appreiciate your fast service and most excellent prices... The lil' VW toy is already on its way to our godson...

thanks again!

John

thanks... you guys ROCK... your service was unheralded and your awesome wife knows her shit! Keep up the good work you West Coast bastard! woohoo!

John

Hi everyone,

I just got my scirocco.org stickers from the Potter's ... and they are da shit! They even sent me the stickers in silver, which match my car wickedly.

Thanks, Mike and Kristin.

:-)Michael

I spent some time with Mike and Kristen recently and wow did we have fun. First we went over the MK1 Scirocco bumper to bumper. Mike made a list of All the toys I will be getting for birthdays and Christmas for the next ten years. I highly recommend registering your wish list with Mike and Kristen and then letting your friends and family know where to find them on the net. This is better than getting married because you don’t need to go through the hassle of finding brides maids dresses and stuff like that. After we made the wish list mike drove my MK1. He noted the difference between his car and mine. We exchanged a few junk parts and I bought some oil filters too. Mike even parted with one of the SCIROCCO.ORG stickers for the car. We went over the DSP rules too. Mike is quite the expert when it comes to VW parts. You need to check Virtual World Parts out for your self!!! The whole family is into racing. When I was there Kristen set up a AUTO-X Coarse for the kids to practice there handling skills. Kristen likes the tight turns. Several cones were tapped as the kids hammered through the coarse. The kids were slamming around the 911’s like they were cheap toys. Shawn even called while I was there. Ian stopped by in his white Scirocco 16v to pick up some parts too. I think I will be getting most of my parts from Virtual World from now on. They treated me like a celebrity. The kids thought I was a TV star named Doug.

Doug

You gotta love those two. Got mine today, and they where even nice enough to send a couple for a friend of mine. She owns a Golf, and she won the right to wear the driver found sticker last week. Got to love girls that can drive a car!! :-)

Michael

Mike potter sells the Euro Vento lights. I saw them last weekend and they do look nice. Mike told me that the difference between the stock US lights and the EuroVento lights are night and day. The thing that turned me off was that you had to cut a small piece of the radiator support nothing big but still. The wiring harness is simple no cutting of any wires the Euro units plug into the stock harness with an adapter that he sells with the kits. Really not much of a difference than the stock US ones except for the huge single H4 bulb. He also sells the Hella Dual Rounds for cheap. He makes his own kit, from he discribed is a very simple procedure that is basically a plug and play kinda thing. Mike's a cool guy sells any stock any after market part you need. His web site is www.parts4vws.com

Mike Potter is fantastic - I've bugged him with stupid questions that the other shops either cannot answer(most) or just don't want to answer (again, most). Mike has put up with my hairsplitting over time, and while I am _very_ loyal to Velocity, Mike will get the first call from here on in. I've had good dealings with Velocity over the past few years - when they don't know, they tell me. I like that. Velocity has treated me right, and Mike Potter has risen to the top of my list as far as people who know their stuff – I can figure out WHAT I want, I need someone who *understands* what I want. A lot of places can't, or have not had the need to figure oddish things out.

I echo your sentiments about Mike at VWP. I called him last night about my hall sender and he pretty much walked me through it, along with some 'shootin the shit' talk. I'd have to say he ranks right up at the top.

Just want to let you guys know that I have received my Whipple mount.

Many thanks to Mike and Kristen Potter for their prompt service. Thumbs up for Virtual Parts.

Hendrik

Thank you very much for the update on the Euroswitch purchase. The extra time is no problem, but I do really appreciate keeping us informed. All vendors need to be as caring about their customers as you and Mike are.

Again, thank you.

Greg

Satisfied Past and future customer

I simply wanted to thank you for the service you provided to me.

You remembered that among at least 30 people that order the Euro Switch, I order some other parts in addition, and you let me know what I wanted to do with the other parts(wait for the Euro Switch or ship them now) since there was/is some delay with the Euro Switch.

Thank You.

One happy customer.

Fred.

Kristen and Mike

I just got the parts for my 16 Valvers. You really know what customer service means. Thanks for the quick shipment.

(I think I'm going to sneak out from the office, put the cables and the relays and VROOOMMM....

Inaki

Mike,

Thank you so very much! Everything has worked out exccellent. The headlights are mint, the fog light housing was correct, and the stickers are great. Thanks for being on the ball with the fog light in such short notice. It's great to know that there are still some people in this world who still works with their customers in a timely manner. Thanks again and keep up the great work!

-Scott

Thank you, Mike! Pleasure doing business with you, I'll be sure to let all my friends know about Virtual World Parts!

Sincerely,

Dan

I'd just like to give a big SHOUT OUT to Mike and Kristin Potter at Virtual World Parts. This is the second update I've received about the Euroswitch Group Purchase since placing my order about a month ago. It's nice to have a Vendor out there that really cares about it's customers. Thanks again Mike and Kristin.

Greg (past and future customer)

I would like to second those praises. The first time I delt with Mike I was ordering the bridge and jumper. Two parts that total a whopping $5, or something silly like that. We BS'ed on the phone for about 15 minutes. He asked what I have done to my car, what I am planning to do and never once made me feel like the dummy that I am. Thanks Mike.
Yeah, thanks a lot for ruining it for all my local parts people. The other day I went into my local parts joint to pick up a few parts for wifey's car (total order just above $350) now maybe it is me, and maybe I was expecting a little too much from them, like a smile or what's up, but all I got was LOTS of attitude. "You want a what...for what car"? "Do you know what you are doing"? etc, etc for about 25 minutes...So, having the short fuse that I do when I feel like I am getting the pickle, I reached over the counter grabbed the guy by the shirt and explained that I would like a little nicer service. After a few other words to him I let go and, well, damned if I didn't recieve the best service of my life. He even threw in a (1) plug wire that was bad, and appologized to the wife for being such a jerk.

Moral of the story:

I think I will blame that one on Mike for treating me like a real person and actually spending time to talk with his customers. If I had never gotten such great from him after ordering only $5 worth of stuff, I would never have expected it from ANY other parts guys. Oh yeah, that's right, by US buying stuff from THEM, they stay in business and make money. I keep forgetting what a good deed we are doing for them...

I got a call yesterday from Kristen at Virtual World. She mentioned that they would be shipping the Euroswitch to me today sometime, I think. I'm not sure exactly and you know what, I don't care. These people are great.

I just wanted to take this time to thank them for their great help with the Euro switch group purchase and keeping us informed frequently.

You all are great! :)

Just want to let you know that I received the spoiler on Fri 11/13.

Thanks, and thanks for waiving the shipping charge.

Andy

The Potterman's have made another customer. I was sent an e-mail asking if I was still interested in the EuroSwitch (which of course I was)... I left a message this morning, and still hadn't heard back after lunch (its Monday, lots of mail-order places are VERY busy catching up from the weekend) so I gave them a call... I spoke to Kristen and she checked some availability for some other parts that I decided not to purchase at this time... After giving my info I was not pushed off the phone but chatted for a few minutes about VW's general strangeness about

what options make it on to what cars (the pollen filter for example)... Its always good to have someone on the other end of the line that is knowledgeable and friendly and I would like to commend them for that.....

Also, much thanks to Potterman again for delivering a quality product at a good price in a timely manner!

Alex

Roger that. Mike Potter can get just about any VW factory part, easier and cheaper than at least my local dealer. And he's 3000 miles away! I've gotten all my tune-up parts, coolant hoses, accessory drive belt, new lifters (when I installed 268s)...

Not to mention the great Hella kit, as well as a bunch of Euro and other special parts.

Just another satisified Virtual World Parts customer...

Cheers, Bob

I talked to Mike Potter today while ordering my Whipple mount. Very nice person to deal with.. down to earth and very informative. I would definitely purchase from him again based on his social skills alone! I know this is just reiteration of previous posts, but for the newbies out there... don't hesitate to give them a call.

It looks like a great deal even if it hurts. $1550 and VWP stickers will do it. can you say "VISA." Just charge it. I have to say that your service is the best. I got to see first hand all the hard work that you put in to this job too. I have told several people to check you out. I think you will benefit from my advertising in the future. Lets put the big VWP stickers on now that the car looks like it has some good parts on it.

You should give me some cards to hand out too. I find people struggling to find parts and I tell them to look you up.

Thanks.

Doug

Wow! Now that's what I call service. Thank you for the e-mail. I will DEFINITELY order more products from you for my GTI in the future. :)

Khoi

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the note & tracking number. You guys really do a great job!

Have a happy and healthy New Year!

Talk to you later,

Brian

I have been mail ordering parts for many years and your company is by far the best. Service, support and knowledge. Hopefully Mike and you have many more years in this business! I hope so.

Hi Mike-

I just wanted to let you know that I got my gauge panel today in good condition. I'm having it dealer installed tomorrow. Thanks again for the great service! I'm sure I'll be back!

Sincerely,

Bryan

Mike,

Thanks for getting all this stuff for me, I really appreciate it. You and Kristen have been very helpful! Lemme know what the damage was and when I should expect to see this stuff. The money you saved me over the other quote I got paid for my windage tray and new Garrett chip.

Yes!

Josh

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to let you know that the lights arrived today in great shape. Can't wait to get them puppies painted and installed!

Thanks again.

Pete

Q: Could anyone help me find the hella DE technology GTI blackout headlights. I read the article review in a European Car mag. September 1997 volume 28, no.9. p.118. I have fallen in love with them, but can't find them sold anywhere. is there anyone that has them?
<< A: Hmmmm....makes me wonder if you've actually looked ;) You CAN get them lots of places... you SHOULD get them from Mike Potter at Virtual World Parts http://www.parts4vws.com. Mike does all the custom harnesses and bracketry to fit them to the US spec cars. Great mod, looks cool, fantastic beam pattern, killer high beams. Buy them!

Kristen,

Thank you! I will definitely look to your business first for my VW needs. It was a pleasure doing business with you.

Stephan

these stickers are A_W_E_S_O_M_E!!!!!

thanx potterman.

Sean

Anywho... thanks a BUNCH for gettin em to me so quick... sure do pershEate it.

Later,

Dan

Got it on Tuesday. Will install on Saturday. Thanks for your help and quick service (and pleasant demeanor). You'll hear more from me in the near future.

Mike

I got your e-mail with the tracking number and it tracked it, that's cool. I just thought that I would tell you that I almost ordered my light switch from ____________, I even had the check made out. But then they told me, that I needed to add another 9.50 for shipping plus the 75.00 they wanted for their switch (way more than yours). You saved me some money but that's a gas tank in my GTI, so thanks for the GAS!!!!

Ryan

I like Mike's set because they look better (I mean the Hellas look better) because they have the huge magnifying lens in the headlights. And Mike actually makes a hellavah kit for them. It took me over 12 hours to fit my euro spec (unmodded) headlight and I like what Mike has done to his kit much more after seeing it on someone else's car. (You don't have to thank me Mike:)

joey

Hey,

I'd say go with Mike Potter's kit. I got the smoked because that's all he had in stock at the time, and I wanted to get some headlights back in my car pronto. I'm very happy with them, performance is great, installing was *very* easy, and they look very schweet. They'd probably look even better on a black car. I don't know about the clears, but the smoked come with a smoked dark grey mask that you wouldn't have to paint on a black car, they'd look cool like they are. Anyway, I'd go with Potter, I've never had anything but fast, quality, and friendly service, plus he threw in some very cool stickers, which I have yet to put on.

Adam

Got the struts this week and put them in this weekend. They worked great. Thanks and it's been a pleasure doing business with you again.

Hello,

I know that you don't remember me unless you look at a receipt. My name is Paul and i ordered a handfull of things months ago for my 96 jetta. I am just mailing to say that I have attended a few VW shows, such as Treffen, and I even won in the watercooled category in another show. I asked for some stickers quite some time ago, and I have put some on my car (free advertisement for you). Since then, numerous people have come up to me asking me about parts4vws.com. They love the front grill with eyelids and the euro headlight switched I purchased from your company. Most people didn't believe the prices when I told them, so I suggested that they check out the site. My point is to say thanks for the products. They're the least expensive around for great quality. I don't know if you've received more exposure in magazines and all that, but I can assure you; people in the midwest are aware of Virtual World Parts. Thanks for everything

Sincerely,

Paul
